Donald L. Brooks is a member of the Florida Bar and is thereby licensed to practice law in all of the State courts of Florida. He practices law primarily in Palm Beach and Martin Counties, Florida.
The office is located in northern Palm Beach County, in Palm Beach Gardens just west of the I-95 exit onto PGA Blvd.
Donald L. Brooks is a graduate of the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William & Mary, in Williamsburg, VA., at which he earned a Juris Doctor degree and twice earned awards for having the highest grade in his class for particular courses.
He is admitted to the bar in Virginia but is inactive and has never practiced there.
He started the practice of law in North Palm Beach, Florida in 1974 in a general practice firm which gave him a broad background. He has handled cases involving many different areas of the law over his career.
He concentrates in the areas of probate matters and real estate law. This includes estate administration and representing heirs, preparation of wills and trusts, and, in real estate, the purchases and sales of real property from beginning to end, including the negotiation and drawing up of the contracts of sale, acting as closing and title agent like a title company, handling the closing and document preparation, and issuing title insurance for the owner and lender as an agent for Old Republic National Title Insurance Company, and the post-closing matters. He also handles landlord-tenant matters, leases and evictions, the incorporation of businesses, and the buying and selling of businesses, contracts and contractual disputes, litigation and trial work, and will advise on personal injury matters, such as automobile accidents, inadequate security, property losses, slip and falls, dog bites, and more.
He has tried many non-jury trials and jury trials as the sole attorney.
